Gavan is THREE!

Today we celebrated Gavan's 3rd birthday. I gotta say that it was a great day!
We had a lunchtime family party for him so my family came over to join in the fun.
He got lots of fun presents and got in some great playtime.

After the party, Gavan and Myla played outside, we went for bike rides and enjoyed the awesome November weather.

Here are many many pictures from the day:
Aunt Becky, Uncle Michael, Nellie and Abey-Baby

Gavan and his favorite person - Gaga!

Look at that sweet face :)
He blew out all the candles - all three of them!
Pretty sister
Thank-you hugs

He likes his hoodie from Uncle Jordan

This pic isn't so good but Myla gave him an electronic guitar. She wanted to help him open it and before they started unwrapping, Gavan asked "What is it?"
So Myla said, "Its a rock-n-roll something."
That's a good hint, huh?

He really likes his new guitar - the little riffs that it plays are repeating in my head as I type this.

Sweet smile with his new Cars puzzle

Myla pointed out that one can SIT in the back of the Tonka truck in addition to
haul stuff around in it.

Sorry this is out of focus but its the best one of me and the birthday boy!

Open mouth, insert foot

I'm pretty good at putting my foot in my mouth, not literally (anymore) but figuratively. But this post is not about me and my lack of tact.
Its about Nellie!

Today, Nellie discovered her foot and just how tasty it is.

Here's a play-by-play:

"Hey! Look at this fun thing my hand grabbed!"

"It looks about the same size as my mouth - it just might fit..."

"Ohhh, it tastes good..."

"What - haven't you seen anyone chew on their foot before??"

You know, that little foot does look good enough to eat :)

Happy Sunday

Halloween 2009

WE hope you all had a fun Halloween! We sure did. We had our annual neighborhood BBQ which was fun - Nick was so kind as to spend 24+ hours making pulled pork - yum :) The kids had a great time running around in their costumes and then plenty more fun trick-or-treating. Grandma and Grandpa joined us for dinner and helped take the kids around and pass out candy. Lots of fun but let me tell you - we were definitely ready for bed when it was all said and done!

Here are the pics - enjoy!

She likes to have three fingers in her mouth at a time just like this - she's doing it right now as I type too :)

Gavan is a ghost, not a shepherd or something from the Nativity play. We had to add the tie around his forehead to keep the costume on...

Gotta love the glowsticks!

Pics from Nick's hunt will be coming soon!
