This happened awhile back but I took pictures and thought you might like to see how Myla's black eye progressed. Quick background - she and her dear friend were playing outside one afternoon. Her little friend got ahold of one of her Dad's metal baseball bats and was innocently swinging it in a circle. Myla was running around and neither girl saw the other and - bam! - Myla's brow bone met the bat. No blood was lost - it was just quite the shock - for everyone! The first day it was only swollen on the side but this picture is from the next morning, on our way to the doctor's office to get it checked out.
She can still smile even though her little eye can't open very far!

After the 5th day, we were all so used to it that I stopped taking pictures. The whole thing ended up taking almost 2 weeks to completely fade. We're just glad that it was only a black eye and not a worse injury!
